今天早上作了一個（或多個）遞迴的夢，至少 “醒了” 三次，不過等一會就又發現自己還在另外的一層夢裡。說不定像莊周夢蝶一般，現在還是在一層叫做人生的夢裡！來 blog 一下，確認某種 “存在” 的 “真實”。

Mengjuei :: Blog: 硬頸刁民。 雖然我不是很喜歡硬頸刁民這著標題，但是別忘讓人一看霸權的面目。

剛剛看完 Matrix Reload，沒讓人失望。雖然是續集，卻沒有一般續集的問題，是一部值得一看的動作科幻片。動作的部份拍得還是很精彩，劇情也有新的發展，和第一部 Matrix 一樣，在絢麗的武打動作和爆破後，還有一些讓人可以想想的東西。對於一片續集，能超越之前的成功是很難得的。當然 Matrix Reload 不是一部藝術片，或是要傳達甚麼很深的訊息，大概也不會得奧斯卡的最佳影片，不過就科幻片來說 Matrix / Matrix Reload 算是經典之作之一。另外，如果習慣好萊塢皆大喜的結尾的人，對 Matrix Reload 的結尾 “To be continued” 可能會有點失望，不過我倒是很欣賞這片的結尾。沒有人知道 Zion 到底會如何？順道一提，如果有人看過這篇 Blog 後再去看 Matrix Reload， 別說我沒告訴你 “記得把片尾的 Credit 看完！！” （At least in US.)

在 Slashdot 上看到一則關於個人計算環境(PCE ::: Personal Computing Envirionments）的報導。當然報導中的電腦桌椅要有其獨到之處，不然也沒甚麼稀奇。這種成套的電腦設備要符合人體工學，要夠酷，要能讓電腦玩家使用起來很過癮，還得要有未來感。老實講，現代人一定有很多由於使用電腦姿勢不正確造成的現代病。我自己就常常會背痛。當然，一套像報導中的電腦桌椅也許可以減輕一些問題，但是真的要避免這些病痛還是不要偷懶，多運動身體避免肌肉生鏽才是正途吧！

說這些有的沒有的，寫這篇 Blog 的真正原因是以前我就抱怨過沒有人設計這種專為玩家設計的成套桌椅，所以自己無聊就拿起 Blender 來造造一個 3D 的模型。這篇報導勾起了我的回憶，特地到我一堆沒有整理好的光碟庫裡把以前的模型給找了出來，特此一誌。雖然我造出來的模型可能坐起來不見得很舒服，不過也算有了這樣一個 PCE 味道了。

今天聊天室的人在討論買 Godel, Escher and Bach 這本書，讓我拿起我舊舊又有點貴的版本來隨便翻看。不經意看到這段：

An analogy from physics is useful here. As was mentioned earlier in the book, gases in equilibrium obey simple laws connecting their temperature, pressure, and volumn. However, a gas can violate those laws (as a President can violate laws) — provided it is not in a state of equilibrium. In nonequilibrium situations, to describe what happens, a physicist has recourse only to statistical mechanics — that is, to a level of description which is not macroscopic, for the ultimate explanation of a gas’s behaviors always lies on the molecular level, just as the ultimate explanation of a society’s political behavior always lies at the “grass root level”. The field of nonequilibrium thermodynamics attempts to find macroscopic laws to describe the behavior of gases (and other systems) which are out of equilibrium. It is the analogue to the branch of political science which would search for laws governing anarchical societies.

這是很有意思的類比。但是超越類比的層次，既然非平衡統計力學的目的是在找非平衡狀態下系統的巨觀行為，直接拿來應用在社會學上也不為過。曾經想過，其實歷史上的改朝換代就像是相變。也許是某種自我組織的非平衡相變（沒有正式的研究，這種說法不過是堆砌學界流行的文字吧！雖然這樣的說法可能有些道理。）如果有歷史學家對物理學家用建立模型來研究非平衡系統的方法有興趣的話，倒不妨來合作一下，說不定能迸出新的火花！

My Comment: 不管黑貓白貓，只要能捉老鼠的就是好貓。不過要捉得快，還是要看看那隻貓的爪利。

今天試成功了一下在 OS X 下製作幻燈片秀的 VCD。要坐這樣的幻燈片秀，要安裝 VCD Builder 及 MissingMediaBurner。先用 VCD Builder 把 bin/cue 影像檔做出後，再用 MissingMediaBurner 燒成 VCD。大部分的步驟都是 Drag and Drop，還慢好用的。不過還沒辦法配樂。順帶一提，有一個叫 DVD PictureShow 的軟體也可以燒幻燈片 VCD 或 DVD。

很久以前買了一片在台灣很不好找的 Frente 的專輯。買這片專輯的動機是因為有次在朋友的車上聽到 Bizarre Love Triangle 這首歌，被主唱漂亮的清唱給吸引了。買的這片 CD 後雖然常聽，卻沒有好好的聽一聽其中的歌詞。最近把這片 CD 轉到 iTune 中來聽，突然間發現有些歌詞實在不錯。例如這首 Cuscutlan，

到底還是看了這部在台灣頗有爭議的電影。從純粹視覺效果來看，雖然已經不是首創，這部片的視覺藝術到還有些看頭。除此之外，劇情平平，雖然能讓人勉強保持注意，但滿膚淺的。片尾的「護國護民」，套句聊天室的俚語，“噴“。這部片不好好交代為什麼要刺秦，到對不要刺秦的理由，“一統天下“，做了扭曲歷史的解釋。
