一個台灣，兩個世界

在高中的時候，在台北的某高中裡，自己是所謂的外地生。感覺也是台灣有兩個世界，台北的和非台北的。自己當初決定離家到台北讀書，一個主要的原因就是感覺到台灣南北教育資源的差距。總覺得很多好的機會都在台北。十幾年前如此，現在這樣的差距也許只有更大，不會縮小。

變成妻子憶夫的詩：

遲回寄雁無音訊，久別離人阻路途。
詩韻和成難下筆，酒杯一酌怕空壺；

I found this link in my bookmark. It seems to be very interesting. I like to look for people who are also interested to start a robot war. (much much peaceful and cheaper than stupid real war)

剛剛電視上的新聞說，在三蕃市一天的反戰遊行造成的損失要花納稅人近百萬美金。令我訥悶的是，不知道為什麼新聞不一起報導一枚巡弋飛彈要花納稅人多少錢？看了這麼多的新聞，看到越來越多偏頗的報導， 真可怕。

布希跟國會要 75 billion 美元的預算來付六個月的戰爭費用，算一算，約 40 million 一天，足夠 40 個城市同時連續抗議 180 天。如果拿來作外交的遊說，這些錢應該也可以做出很多對和平真的有貢獻的事吧！

開戰了，致哀！真不幸，人類到了二十一世紀，即便有先進的武器，文明的本質還是一樣的原始！

今天去 San Jose 參觀了一個 Data Center，大概是這輩子一眼看到最多電腦的一次。看這些躲在 Internet 背後在一個個 Cage 裡面的 Rack 上冷冷的電腦，心裡卻在想著 Internet 與資訊科技是如何的改變我們的生活和科學研究的方式，改變了整個世代。以前，要努力的找有用的資訊，現在則是要努力的過濾資訊。電腦、網路創造、傳遞有用/沒用的資訊，再靠電腦來過濾重整。撥接的 BBS，Internet BBS, Web, 個人報, Blog… 我很好奇，這些不斷推陳出新的各式各樣的電子媒體，雜訊/訊號比是如何隨時間變化的！

Then God was going to create Furgeson,
and Furgeson would have unified,
and he would have fielded a theory,
and All would have been One,
but it was the Seventh Day
   and God rested,
and objects at rest tend to remain at rest.
